There has been a lot of confusion in the build-up to the Supercopa de Espana over the rules concerning the fielding of non-EU players and Ernesto Valverde has decided he doesn't want to take any risks.
Ordinarily, only three players without an EU passport are permitted to represent a European team in official competition, but the Spanish FA released a statement on Saturday which said there would be no limit for the Supercopa match.
However, Sevilla were not happy about this and announced that they might take the matter to the courts if Barcelona were to field more than three non-EU players.
Currently, Barcelona have three players without an EU passport - Arthur Melo, Arturo Vidal and Malcom - in addition to Philippe Coutinho, who has only just gone through the process of applying for a Portuguese passport.
Playing it safe, Valverde has left Malcom off of his squad list for Sunday's Supercopa match.

Valverde is shit.
First He thought he would easily win the match as he benched umtiti, rakitic, countinho
Second he made messi a midfielder as he doesn't get a chance to shot... while he also made all team defensive.
