Villa, Casillas and Courtois send support to Badajoz for promotion playoffs

Following CD Badajoz's win in the first round of the promotion play-offs to Segunda, beating Bilbao Athletic on penalties, a series of high-profile names sent their support.

The 10-minute video featured the likes of David Villa, Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina, Martin Vazquez, Abel Resino, Javier Zanetti, Rafa Pozo, Victor Sanchez del Almo, Luis García Plaza and Mario Kempes.

Many current players also contributed to the video prepared by Alexis Martin-Tamayo, also known as Mister Chip, including Thibaut Courtois, Alvaro Negredo, Diego Godin and Jose Luis Morales.

If Badajoz are promoted, it would be the first time they have done so since 1992, when they then spent ten seasons in a row in the second tier before relegation in 2003.
