Vinicius holds 16 sponsorship deals, becoming one of the most commercially valuable stars

According to the Daily Mail, Vinicius's vast commercial empire is delivering substantial returns for Real Madrid, making the Brazilian winger one of the most commercially valuable players in world football.

The Daily Mail's sports section reported on Saturday that Arsenal are ambitiously exploring the possibility of making a blockbuster move for Vinicius this summer, provided he does not renew his contract with Real Madrid. The Brazilian international's current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2027-28 season, and he did not participate in pre-season training on Monday. His representatives are in crucial negotiations with Real Madrid over a new contract.

While Real Madrid are reluctant to pay the 26-year-old Vinicius the same salary as his teammate Mbappé, they are eager to retain him because of his global superstar status and his involvement in 16 brand partnerships. Among players participating in this summer's World Cup, Vinicius ranks second only to Neymar, who has 20 endorsements, in the number of sponsorship deals. According to Spanish media outlet AS, when Vinicius renewed his contract in 2022 (expiring in summer 2027), he agreed to cede approximately 50% of his image rights to Real Madrid. Consequently, half of his commercial earnings go to Real Madrid, making him one of the biggest "goldmines" in world football. The newspaper jokingly stated that Vinicius is essentially "paying his own salary at Real Madrid" – at least until a new contract is agreed upon.

Vinicius's commercial empire could present a potential obstacle in Monday's contract renewal negotiations, while Arsenal's significant interest will undoubtedly give him leverage.
