Xavi Hernandez has been out of work since being sacked by Barcelona last summer, but he is readying himself for a return to football. He has been linked with a number of clubs during his sabbatical year, and he has now taken the opportunity to reveal his thinking for the next stage of his career.
In an interview with The Athletic, Xavi opened up on his future plans. He revealed a desire to work in England, but he is less keen on a return to Spain due to the pressure that managers tend to be under there.
“There’s no hurry for me, but I’d like a good project. Like, ‘You have four years to work and make a project’. I’d love to work in the Premier League because I love the passion there. In Spain, it’s too much about the result.
“Look what has happened to Ancelotti (at Real Madrid) and people criticising him. It’s not fair. He won 30 trophies in 10 years and he’s criticised like he’s not won anything. Valverde said it perfectly when he said: ‘If Ancelotti is criticised, what hope is there for the rest of us?’.”

Talking shi....t... Football today is about results..Passion passion for what?? look then for an amateur club if you want to be passionate of football... What this guy talking about??Lot of money are involved in today football..We need results simply as it...
Yes but it is not possible for a team to win all the time or sack their manager. The monetisation of football ofcourse suits the owners where results equal money and maybe some of the fans, who are addicted to gambling, it also becomes a life and death matter to achieve a certain result. For real supporters this is not the case. We enjoy a team being transitioned and moulded into a new threat because it's previous generals are battle weary, it's interesting to see young talent develop and surprise. To expect a team to constantly win is unrealistic and those teams (you know who they are) don't have fans. They have sycophantic people parading a badge but with no real connection, support or even probably knowledge about the team. What they are really supporting is 'a result' a 'win'. It's a sign of low intelligence and status hungry oxygen wasters which in my mind are not just the problem with football but the entire world currently.

It's not only in Spain,No bigger team likes to became trophyless irrespective of the coach legacy,There must be a pressure ahead,Even if you don't major win the misdemeanor tournament,It May be better an ease the pressure

Xavi is right but this does not apply to the historically big clubs. Look at the pressure on Manchester United for instance, they get scrutinized every now and then. And in all scrutiny they still managed to win tournament trophies. Take for instance, if they are able to win the Europa League final this season, this will represent twice they have won something in Europe after the departure of their legendary coach, Alex Ferguson. Compare this with Arsenal, who are more contented with just qualifying for UEFA Champions League. It is important to put this in proper perspective, if you go to Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool you have to win trophies but if you are in other smaller clubs in as much as you not in relegation zone, your job is safe and intact. Xavi should stay in Spain or go to Italy.

Xavi is an idiot to allow Real Madrid to beat Barca four times on a row and still expect to be without pressure. He had no feelings for the fans

I agree with Xavi. If Ancelotti could be criticized and blamed for this season's lacklustre then no one can be exempted from being kicked out of the club, considering what Ancelotti has brought to Real Madrid in terms of trophies I feel he's not been appreciated enough.
