Yamal: Cubarsi also deserves the Kopa Trophy, I wish it were his

Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for the third consecutive year at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony. The award recognizes the world's best young player, but the Barcelona player seemed humble about the achievement, stating that he would give the award to Cubarsi instead.

Yamal said, "It's an honor to be here. I wish Cubarsi was here too. He deserves it just as much—he has played incredibly well these past few years. I'm very happy, but I wish this award were Cubarsi's."
