Super agent Pini Zahavi was behind a failed transfer by Robert Lewandowski to Real Madrid it has been revealed by Football Leaks and published in Der Spiegel.
The 76-year-old who brought about Neymar's move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, tried a similar high-profile move last summer.
At the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Vienna, Zahavi met with the player's agent Maik Barthel with the plan to do what would be necessary to free Lewandowski from his Bayern contract. The Pole wanted to leave the club it was explained in Der Spiegel.
The stumbling block though was that he did not have a buy-out clause with Bayern and the German club refused to negotiate.
