Zidane and James prove that sequels can be better than the original

Zinedine Zidane and James Rodriguez look to have settled their differences.

After their troubled past and initial doubts over how they would get on this season, their current relationship is growing day by day.

Zidane didn't hide the fact that he wanted James to leave after Bayern Munich opted not to make his loan permanent.

The Colombian sat out pre-season, but ever since he decided to stay at Real MadridZidane has treated the midfielder like any other player.

The Frenchman knows James' qualities and he's prepared to start afresh in order to take advantage of them.

As well as that, Zidane has been impressed with James' attitude since he returned to Los Blancos.

He was included in the squad that travelled to Celta Vigo on matchday one of the new LaLiga Santander season and has been involved, bar injury, ever since.

He's featured in seven of Real Madrid's eight league games this season, as well as one of their two Champions League matches.

No one could have imagined this turnaround in fortunes for both James and his relationship with Zidane, with the pair now speaking frequently and positively.

James' commitment both on and off the pitch for Real Madrid has been exemplary in the past couple of months and his scoring display against Granada showed just that.
