Real Madrid advanced from 2 of 10 UCL knockout ties without 1st leg win at home

Real Madrid have only progressed from two of their previous 10 Champions League knockout stage ties after failing to win the first leg at home. Both of the times were against Manchester United (1999-2000 quarter-finals and 2012-13 round of 16). Precedents.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid head coach, speaking to Movistar: "Nerves are always there before matches. But also confidence and being clear about what we have to do. I knew who was going to play today. We go out with the confidence to play a great game. A good game is not enough. We have to play a great match."
