Ciro Immobile (Lazio)

Highlights: 27 goals & 7 assists, One goal scored every 80.96 minutes played, Serie A MVP for Oct

Who's the Serie A top scorer so far? Not Ronaldo, it's Immobile.

Who's leading European Golden Boots campaign now this season? Not Ronaldo or Messi, it's Immobile.

Immobile can score a goal every 80.96 minutes played this season, none of any striker can reach the productivity of him. Besides, he has also contributed 7 assists. So it's quite easy to explain why he's here.

Romelu Lukaku (Inter)

Highlights: 17 goals & 7.43 average ratings

Lukaku has become an integral part of Antonio Conte's push to win the title with Inter and wrestle it away from Juventus. The Belgium international joined Inter in a £74m deal following a decision to leave Manchester United during the summer after falling out of favour.

With Inter currently sitting second in Serie A - one point behind Juve - Lukaku's 17 league goals have helped lift the Nerazzurri into championship contender status. While he played most of his career at Old Trafford as a lone striker, he has been paired with Lautaro Martinez at Inter to great effect.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus)

Highlights: 21 goals & 7.9 average ratings, Serie A MVP for Jan

The 35-year-old Portuguese forward has proved to us again and again and again, he is still the highest in the room.

'Sarriball' has been blamed a lot this season, and unlike the last years, this season Juventus has been in the dogfight of Serie A title. Lazio and Inter both led the scoreboard for a couple of days, But now it's Juventus is at the top before the suspension.

No one could replace Ronaldo's effect in this Juventus. Ronaldo hasn't played all Bianconeri's games due to injury or rotation. And we've all seen the differences in those games...

Josip Ilicic (Atalanta)

Highlights: 15 goals & 5 assists, 7 MOTMs

Serie A always has over-30s forwards who can always score. Totti, Di Natale, Quagliarella... and now it's 32-year-old Ilicic.

Gasperini's team never lack goals. The Bergamo side have scored league-leading 70 goals. Lazio are at 2nd with 60 goals scored. As contrast, Juve have only scored 50 while Inter have scored only 49. Gomez, Muriel & Gosens are the threats, and Ilicic is the killer.

And do not forget what Ilicic did in the last game Atalanta played. He scored 4 against Valencia - although it was a UCL game.

Luis Alberto (Lazio)

Highlights: League-leading 12 assists, 7.69 average ratings

From Liverpool flop to Lazio star, Luis Alberto is just 27 years old, but he has seized his chance in Italy.

The conversation around the "most underrated player in the world" begins and ends with Luis Alberto. It's him, and we won't be hearing any dissent on the matter. Just take a look at the company he's keeping, and think about how often you've heard his name mentioned in the same breath as some of these dudes. Probably never.

Since 2017-18, among players who have played at least 900 minutes, there are only four players who have averaged at least 0.4 assists, 4.5 passes into the penalty area, and 20 passes into the final-third per 90 minutes: Messi, Neymar, De Bruyne and Luis Alberto. And Alberto's market value on Transfermarkt is just €55 million, while all of the other players are somewhere north on €140 million.
