Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri can make history as the oldest coach to win a Serie A title, aged 61 years and six months.
There are many records to be broken if the Bianconeri beat Sampdoria this evening to clinch their ninth successive league trophy.
Sarri’s entire career so far has resulted in one major trophy, the Europa League with Chelsea last season.
Now at the age of 61 years and six months, he is set to become the oldest coach ever to win the Serie A title.
The previous record was held by Nils Liedholm at Roma in 1983, aged 60 years and seven months.
However, that was Liedholm’s second Scudetto, after winning with Milan in 1979, whereas Sarri is a debutant on the podium.
Vujadin Boskov followed at age 60 when Sampdoria triumphed in 1991.
Fulvio Bernardini was 58 when he took the title with Bologna in 1964 and Lajos Czeizler was aged 57 years and eight months when he won the Scudetto with Milan in 1951.
