Acerbi set to make 140th consecutive start between Lazio and Sassuolo

Francesco Acerbi is set to make his 140th consecutive start between Lazio and Sassuolo, not missing a game since October 2015.

Lazio visit Apollon Limassol in the Europa League this evening and Coach Simone Inzaghi rotates his squad.

However, Acerbi remains in the starting XI and it’ll be his 140th match in a row from the beginning.

The last competitive game Acerbi missed was Empoli 1-0 Sassuolo on October 4, 2015.

He is closing in on the record set by Inter legend Javier Zanetti of 162 matches.
