AC Milan coach Max Allegri is eager to keep their feet on the ground.

After recent results, Milan sit equal second on the Serie A table just a point behind leaders Napoli.

Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta declared the Rossoneri a title contender this week, but Allegri said today:  "Let's start again with the hares and footballers thing... (laughs).

"It's better if I don't make jokes, otherwise maybe someone will get the wrong impression. I prefer to listen. I don't like hunting... (smiles).

"Lazio are coming back, Inter and Napoli are the favorites, Juve will be one of the candidates. Roma are doing a great job, and Atalanta will be back. It will be a good championship, so we need to follow up on the results.

"That's why we need to be in the best possible shape in March. It would be even better if we don't talk, I already talk too much. Stay quiet and focus."

He added, "I don't know the word, but I do know that if we're in the top four in March, it means we're close. That's why the goal is to get to March. If we're there in March, we'll have a chance to see if we can higher."
