Former AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini says Serie A leaders Napoli must buy in January.
Despite their leadership, Napoli have lost senior midfielder Kevin De Bruyne until April due to a serious hamstrin injury.
However, Ambrosini says Napoli also could be affected by the loss of Cameroon midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa to the Africa Cup of Nations.
He told Cronache di Spogliatoio: "I think Napoli need to make some changes in January and find an extra midfielder.
"Anguissa will be leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations, and De Bruyne won't be there. They need a quality midfielder, less nimble and a bit more skill—that's what they need in January.
"I can't think of a name to use, Napoli also need technique. When they find defences closed without De Bruyne, they need someone who can turn in those areas and create combinations. Napoli are doing less well without the Belgian now."
