Carlo Ancelotti believes he encountered a “philosophy problem” at Bayern Munich because “they didn’t want to change things”.
The Napoli boss won the Bundesliga in his first season in Germany, but he was sacked at the start of last season after a defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
“The experience at Bayern was a bit unusual,” Ancelotti admitted, speaking to DAZN.
“Things weren’t going badly, we’d won almost all of the games in September.
“I think there was more of a philosophy problem: they didn’t want to change things. I did.”
Ancelotti replaced Maurizio Sarri in Naples, after the Chelsea boss had guided the Partenopei to 91 points.
“You always have to take into account what has been done, as well as the level of the players, then of course every Coach has his own ideas.
“You need to try to implement them gradually, without throwing away the good things that were done in the past.
“The most important thing is to consider the characteristics of the players: that’s what you model the system on, not vice-versa.
“The first thing I wanted to work on here at Napoli was exactly that: not to take away all that was good about this team.
“We’re trying to add a few twists, like how to play more directly and more open. I don’t know how long it’ll take, we hope to do well quickly.”

Bayern, the giants of Bavaria are one of the most conservative clubs in the world. Not on the pitch, but in the management, especially the upper management. Their 50 plus yr history of success is a testament to this long view conservative management policy As a result any changes are examined closely to determine if this fits with the club’s mythos and tradition, so change comes slowly, and often at the expense of more short term goals or success. They have become synonymous with great club management, wise spending, and maintaining the integrity of their charter. Mia San Mia Anyone coming in who wants to change this dynamic will almost certainly be faced with stiff resistance...as Ancelotti found out

No disrespect to you Carlotti you're a great coach no doubt.. But really?? They didn't change according to your plan?? Ffs Robben even said “There’s better training at my son’s youth team [than under Ancelotti].” A number of first team players were unhappy with your style.. They even had to organised ‘secret’ high-intensity sessions behind your back.. In preseason we played like there's no life in those players on the pitch.. And giving up the leads too easily in league matches.. Remember 0-3 against PSG?? Then Jupp came and 3-1 backfire to PSG.. Still you're gonna say we didn't want to change?? No offense to you again, but every coach is not for every big teams that's the deal..
