Angel Di Maria has received emotional messages from team-mates ahead of his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after seven trophy-laden seasons at the club.

The 34-year-old winger is set to leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of his contract with Juventus leading the chase to sign the Argentine star on a free transfer.

Di Maria shared a group picture with his PSG team-mates from training, ahead of his final game for the club on Saturday evening when they host Metz.

In response to Di Maria's post on Instagram, a number of his PSG team-mates posted emotional messages ahead of his exit.

Marco Verratti who has played alongside Di Maria for seven years, wrote: 'Thank you friend. I love you.'

Kylian Mbappe, another player who could leave the Parisians this summer, posted a message with three heart emojis to the Argentinian.

His simple message was echoed by Di Maria's international team-mate Leandro Parades.

Di Maria's post was also liked by Mbappe and a number of notable football figures - including Juventus star Federico Chiesa who could be one of his new team-mates this summer.

Juventus fans also flooded onto the post urging him to sign for their club this summer.

Juventus are in advanced talks to bring Di Maria to the Serie A club at the end of his contract next month.

It was previously reported that Di Maria is furious with his treatment by PSG, considering his exit as a betrayal.

It has been reported that the Argentina international has already agreed terms on a move to Juventus in Serie A, but Di Maria is understood to be upset about his situation and had not planned on leaving the club.

According to a report in Le Parisien, the winger is angry with a perceived U-turn by the club, with the player's family settled in Paris.

There is no tribute planned by the club on Saturday ahead of their final home game of the season, with PSG insisting that no decision has yet been taken on Di Maria's future.

Since leaving Manchester United for PSG in the summer of 2015, Di Maria has gone on to score 91 goals in 294 appearances for the French giants.

In that time he has won 18 trophies, including five Ligue 1 championships.
