Arsenal have bolstered their scouting department ranks after appointing former Bayern Munich scout Florian Bluchel.
Bluchel's background saw him work for a decade with the German giants where he became head of technical scouting as well as a youth team video analyst.
As an international scout at the club he prioritised much of his work in players involved in the Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, German and North American systems.
According to Football London, the 37-year-old joins a scouting network at the Gunners that already include former Manchester City and Manchester United scout Romain Poirot as well as James Ellis, once of Fulham, and Toni Lima who was also at United as well as Inter Milan.
As the club's new international first team scout for Germany, Arsenal will be hoping for him to combine traditional scouting along with video analysis for player profiling.
It is yet to be known if his work will have any influence on the upcoming January transfer window and comes three years after the ill-fated appointment of Sven Mislintat.
Mislantat had arrived with a big reputation from Borussia Dortmund but left after just 14 months following clashes with technical director Edu.
The former Borussia Dortmund scout had overseen the transfers of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Bernd Leno, Sokratis, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Stephan Lichtsteiner.
Only Aubameyang and Leno are at the club this season, with Mavropanos Torreira and Guendouzi are all out on loan.
Arsenal are desperate to restore their status as one of the leading clubs in the country again, and by firstly returning to the Champions League.
The club had made 55 staff members redundant last year in a revamp, including long serving head of development Francis Cagigao who had been with the club for 21 years.
