Former Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo arrived in Florence on Thursday night to undergo a medical at Fiorentina.
The 26-year-old is set to join Fiorentina on an initial loan deal, with the club having the option to buy him permanently from Juventus for €20m (£17.3m).
The move means Arthur will be back in Italy next season after spending last year at Anfield.
He had a nightmare spell in England, making just one Champions League appearance for the Reds and failing to feature in the Premier League.
His campaign was badly disrupted by an injury that required surgery, making him unavailable for Jurgen Klopp's men for the majority of the season.
Liverpool opted not to pursue a permanent move for Arthur, and when he returned to Juventus it quickly became clear he was not part of Massimiliano Allegri's plans.
Providing he successfully completes his medical, Arthur will spend next season at Fiorentina, which will be his third in Serie A.
During his two seasons at Juventus, he won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup, but failed to win Serie A.
Juventus have now gone three years without a league title, but will be hoping to turn things around without Arthur next term.
Meanwhile, Arthur's new club Fiorentina will be aiming to bounce back from successive cup final defeats at the end of last season, after losing against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia and West Ham in the Europa Conference League.

Nunez 100m was in euro while Caicedo 100m asking price is pounds. besides Nunez deal is 75m plus add on makes it 100, so Liverpool is not paying that 100m outrightly

Astonishing how such a promising young player has quickly melted and evaporated in Europe after being tagged a promising gem by Barca. Fiorentina might likely be his last stop in Europe before going back to Brazil, sadly he can't even get a call up in the Brazil national team. I was not so impressed when Bartomeu sold him to "The old Lady" back then i strongly felt it was a stab in the back of Barcelona but it happens to be the only one good business decision a criminal like Bartomeu did right for his entire Barcelona presidency.
