Aston Villa are interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Matej Kovar, as per reports in his homeland, the Czech Republic.
Kovar featured against Leeds and Lyon earlier in pre-season but was omitted from United's pre-season tour of the United States.
The 23-year-old has been at the club since 2020 but is yet to turn out for the senior team and has had spells on loan at Swindon Town, Burton Albion, and Sparta Prague, where he won the title last season.
He is desired by multiple suitors, including Sparta Prague, who want him on loan again.
Now Aston Villa could throw themselves into the mix, as written by Czech newspaper iDNES.
According to iDNES, the Red Devils are seeking between £6million and £8.5m for the youngster, who finds himself rather far down the pecking order. They claim that two Bundesliga clubs were deterred by that price tag.
Manchester United, they write, are assessing the possibility of sending him out on loan should teams be unwilling to part with so much cash.
He joined United from FC Slovacko in the Czech Republic in 2020.
