Atletico Madrid prepare for group training

It won't involve all of the team and it won't be normal training, but Atletico Madrid are getting their training ground ready for group training to allow players to share a ball for the first time since going into lockdown.

Profe Ortega gave the players a strict routine to follow through two months of quarantine and the return to the club's training ground at Cerro del Espino went smoothly.

Monday will see coach Diego Simeone able to work on routines with more than one player at a time.

Players will continue to be split into training sessions at different times but they can now share a ball among them.

After six days training alone, Jan Oblak, Antonio Adan and Alex Dos Santos can train with their teammates again, helping to return some sense of normality to the sessions.

Equally, other supporting roles such as kitmen will also begin to increase as Atletico adjust their activities in line with guidance.
