Bayern Munich's Austrian defender David Alba is once again back on Barcelona's agenda, according to a report in German outlet Bild.
It's claimed the Catalan club, long-time admirers of the versatile Alba, have reignited their interest in bringing him to Camp Nou this summer.
Alaba is out of contract in 2021 and has not shown a huge desire to renew in Munich, with reports now saying he's ready for a new challenge.
Barça asked Bayern about Alaba last summer as they sought competition for Jordi Alba. They eventually signed Junior Firpo but Alaba, who can also play at centre-back or in midfield, remains well-liked bu the club's decision-makers.
Alaba has been at Bayern since 2010 but, after a decade with a club, his contract situation puts him in a strong position if he decides to push for an exit at the end of the season.

I think we should sell Jordi Alba, his contribution to defense is very limited. He's more offensive and that caused us UCL last year. And Cucurella is a massive player now at Left back position.. So I don't want Firpo as well.. As we can have Cucurella and Alaba fill that position.

David Alaba Is a good player with pace ,ball control and has that quality of Sergio Roberto where he can play as Full back and same time a midfielder. sending firpo on loan is not a bad idea. since this crazy idea of selling Semedo still linger around the clubs mind which is bad because semedo is good and has shown that
