FC Barcelona are considering selling Frenkie De Jong this summer & signing a top defensive pivot to replace him, according to reports.
Barcelona have decided to sell Frenkie de Jong, but not only due to economic reasons. The technical staff have concluded that he's not able to play as a defensive midfielder, and will focus on signing a top player for that position instead.

This is the problem, he is under contract, you cant sell him if he not agree, he not accept salary cut. other thing Barca owe him, he want multi million his deferral salary, thats why he not move anywhere until his contract expired.

I seriously doubt whether Barcelona bought Vitor Roque following Xavi'' recommendation. If Roque had been his choice, the player would've had more playing time... Well it's just my opinion
