Paulinho's transfer from Barcelona back to Guangzhou Evergrande has been registered as 42 million euros by the Catalans.
The fee involved was never officially revealed in public, though it was believed to be in the region of 50 million euros.
While the sale was processed at under the 50 million reported, the deal has to be seen as a success on the Azulgrana's part, having signed the Brazilian for 40 million just one year before selling him back.
On the pitch, Paulinho performed well in LaLiga Santander and was very effective when Barcelona turned to him to add a different dynamic to the game.
Ernesto Valverde did not want to lose him this past summer, but the club parted ways with the player nonetheless.
