Fabio Pecchia, Rafa Benitez's assistant at several clubs, has defended the duo's work at Real Madrid in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
He covered a number of topics including the rise of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.
"We left the club in January, second in the league and two points off Barcelona," Pecchia said.
"Above all, they blamed us for playing Casemiro instead of James [Rodriguez] or Isco, which is what [Zinedine] Zidane did later.
"But you know that history is written by the victors."
The Italian coach then went on to praise the Los Blancos dressing room.
"It was an incredible experience, each session is a final. They are demanding with themselves and with each other," he explained.
"They are all number one. Sergio Ramos, the tough type, is a Spanish icon. But Cristiano [Ronaldo] is Cristiano: when he speaks..."
Pecchia believes that Ronaldo will offer Juventus just what they have been lacking on the big occasion.
"He has a special energy which he will transmit to Juventus, it comes very naturally to him. He isn't weighed down by the responsibility on his shoulders."
