The 31-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Galatasaray in recent weeks as he comes to the end of his Premier League career.

However, despite reports claiming that he is open to a move to Turkey, Silva is eyeing a switch to the Serie A this week now that the January transfer window is open.

Sky Sports claim that Serie A side Como, who are managed by former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas, want to add the playmaker's experience and quality to the side.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Juventus are also on the scene whilst Football Italia claim that Napoli are keeing a close eye on Silva as the race begins for the Portuguese playmaker.

Silva’s current deal runs until June 2026 and at 31 years old, the midfielder looks like a steal as he prepares to leave manager Pep Guardiola who he won every available honour under.

Silva has made 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring once in the Champions League and registering two assists in the Premier League. He could be perfect for the Serie A given his experience as he aims to join former City star Kevin de Bruyne in Italy.
