According to Bild, Stuttgart is looking for a new center-forward and has set its sights on Hoffenheim striker Asllani, but the high price makes the deal difficult.
As early as last summer, then-Oerbachger-Stern was already on Stuttgart's radar, but ultimately the move did not materialize. The situation will not change this season. According to Bild, the striker is not part of Stuttgart's summer transfer plans. Last season, Asllani scored 10 goals and provided 9 assists, performing excellently, which also made the Berlin-born player's value quite high.
According to the release clause, Asllani could transfer to a Champions League team for 30 million euros; for other clubs, his price is around 25 million euros. Hoffenheim expects him to leave this summer, but Stuttgart would find such a price tag difficult to accept. Asllani's price is even higher than Pejcinovic's.
Stuttgart recently offered about 18 million euros for the Wolfsburg striker, but this is still below Wolfsburg's asking price of 25 million euros. For Stuttgart, this amount is too high, and negotiations between the two sides have currently been put on hold.
If Wolfsburg does not lower their price, Stuttgart will turn to other attacking targets. Pejcinovic would be affected, as he is very eager to join Stuttgart, which would also bring him closer to his hometown of Munich. Last season, the former Bayern youth player scored 11 goals for Wolfsburg in all competitions. He now hopes to prove his ability to play for a top club. However, there is no end in sight for this transfer saga in the short term.
