Patrick Ciurria and Daniel Maldini struck for the hosts before Viola found a goal via a Lucas Beltran penalty, but it wasn't enough as Monza won 2-1.
Afterwards, Bocchetti said: "I saw a team that was hungry. The boys gave it their all and I felt it. They deserve this victory, they suffered, we will continue to suffer but this is the spirit of this team. Giving joy like this to the fans is a great thing.
“I’m starting to see the spirit and courage, which must never be lacking in a team that has to save itself.
“Maldini is phenomenal for me, I am sure he can give us a huge hand and he is working well. He is a fantastic player.
“I ask all the boys to give their all. When they are called upon, they want them to give their all. It is understandable that sometimes it is difficult to enter games in progress. Especially a team that has to fight until the end, must have this prerogative”.

Come end of the season, Liverpool will surely regret not signing a defender in January transfer window. It will be a miracle for Liverpool to win the premier league this season.
go and sit down didn't you hear Gomez and chiesa weren't included in last match day squad because the team was already full if you don't know what to say shut up.

we've been making sales of young players for the past 2 seasons without any signing so where is the money going? just asking, the midfield and defence is thin no real replacements for most positions and we're fighting in for competitions just saying

I have stopped stressing myself on Liverpool transfers it's frustrating because everyone can see and knows the squad is thin and needs reinforcement except the management which is frustrating so this time I don't expect anything to happen

It is not a secret that we needed reinforcements in January especially that we are fighting in 4 fronts, the Epl, CL, FA and League Cups. An injury to any of these most important players could affect us big time. Salah VVD Gravenbech, McAllister Gakpo. These ones are irreplaceable. We cant do or afford to win all our matches without. It is no secret that we are also struggling with the form of our left backs and sometimes right backs. We also needed a very strong CB as we are short at the back. Without Gomez We only got 3 senior CBs available and 2 of them are injury prone Konate and Quansah. So we needed backup incase of injuries or resting others for other competitions. Our squad still remains very thin in Midfield and Defense. But it seems Liverpool management didnt learn anything from last season. We started the season very well like we have done now. We were heavy favorites to win the league but fighting in 4 fronts we suddenly collapsed and dropped off from the top of the league to 3rd place. We only won the Carabao Cup. I hope we are not repeating the same mistakes. I also hope fatigue doesnt affect our players especially fighting in 4 fronts. Adawise I would prefer us to prioritize the elusive EPL 1st then the rest.
