Bruno Alves reveals how hard he worked to recover from injury and help Parma to a potentially decisive draw with Milan. “This is what happens when you are positive.”
His sensational free kick, the second of the season in Serie A, wiped out a Samu Castillejo header in the 1-1 draw.
“It was very important for me, because I was injured for three weeks, no days off, I gave my best to recover and help the team,” the Portuguese veteran told Sky Sport Italia.
“The players all worked very hard to get the result. This is what happens when you are positive, you try hard and believe. You get the result.
“It’s really important to keep this energy, to believe we can do better. Thank you to the fans, it was a beautiful game and I am so, so happy to have joined Parma this year.”
Bruno Alves was asked who takes better free kicks between him and fellow Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo, who is yet to score a single set play for Juventus?
“Cristiano takes better free kicks, but I try to do my best…”

His was with Rangers in Scotland and was a flop... Now he's starring in Italy for Parma. This shows how poor the Italian league really is. On a positive note , I'm happy to see Parma back ...
