Casemiro believes Michael Carrick "completely deserves" to become the permanent head coach of Manchester United.
Under Carrick (including when he took charge in 2021), United have won eight of their nine Premier League home games (L1).
Carrick is only the sixth manager – and first English boss – to win 8+ of his first nine home games in the competition, and first since Antonio Conte in 2016-17 (also 8/9).
During his current tenure, Carrick has won 10 of his 14 games at the helm (D2 L2), with United scoring 27 goals across those matches and conceding 16.
United defeated rivals Liverpool on Sunday, completing their first league double over the Reds since 2015-16 and securing their spot in the Champions League for next season.
Casemiro will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, but the midfielder has backed Carrick to take on the head coach role permanently.
"In my opinion, he completely deserves it [the United job], I think he's a guy who has already demonstrated that he has very good qualities to be a Manchester United coach," Casemiro told ESPN Brazil.
"So it's not up to me to choose, it's up to the club.
"But if I could give my opinion, of course he deserves it, and he deserves the club's total trust.
"Of course, the season is year-round, but since he arrived, he's been doing an incredible job and I think that with more time he has everything to be a great manager of Manchester United.
"He's a coach who knows the club, he's a coach who was an idol at the club, he's a coach who played a lot, won titles here, knows what the club is like, he knows what Manchester United is.
"I'm happy for the person he is. The guy is a sensational person, an incredible person, and he deserves everything that's happening in his career."

It takes real to know real, Casemiro has really discovered Michael Carrick as the perfect man for the job and I'm fully in support of that, All Man united boards, players and fans globally are rooting for him.
