Youssoufa Moukoko has strongly denied rumours he has been holding up contract extension talks with Borussia Dortmund, saying he was 'shocked by this story'.

The 18-year-old, who is currently being chased by Chelsea, has already made a name for himself in Germany and has picked up 11 Bundesliga goals in 44 games since making his debut in 2020.

His contract is up at the end of this season but Dortmund are understandably keen to keep the youngster at the Signal Iduna Park, although some reports had suggested Moukoko was holding up talks amid interest from other clubs.

He has now shut down these rumours, as he posted on twitter: 'Please don't believe everything that's been written in the papers.

'I won't let myself be pressured into a decision about my future. I will never accept such a lie about me. My full focus is on the second half of the season with Borussia Dortmund.

'No player is bigger than the club and I will never be bigger than the club, just a small part of it. It's really sad that something like that is invented just to paint you fans a wrong picture about me. I am really shocked by this story.'

Whether he stays at Dortmund or not, Moukoko has already put together an impressive list of achievements.

He is the youngest player ever to appear in the Bundensliga and the Champions League, and became the youngest German international to play at a World Cup when he came on as a substitute in their now-infamous loss to Japan.

Dortmund will next be in Bundesliga action when face Augsburg at home on January 22.
