Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini will lay flowers in front of the Fiorentina bench before tomorrow’s game, in tribute to Davide Astori.
The Viola captain tragically passed away in March, the night before a match against Udinese.
He was an Italian international, playing alongside the likes of Chiellini, Gianluigi Buffon and Andrea Barzagli.
Fiorentina fans are known for their intense dislike of Juve, but when the Bianconeri delegation arrived for Astori’s funeral they were applauded by the fans gathered in Piazza Santa Croce.
Tomorrow the teams meet at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, and before the warm-up there will be a tribute to Astori.
Chiellini, on behalf of the whole squad, will lay flowers in front of the Fiorentina bench in honour of the late Viola captain.
The Juve skipper is a Tuscan, and he played for Fiorentina in the 2004-05 season.
