Alessandro Costacurta hits back at Paulo Sousa for saying he wants to take the Roma job - ‘so do I…’

The former Fiorentina Coach openly stated this week that he wanted the Giallorossi job, despite the fact Eusebio Di Francesco is still on the bench.

While his agent insisted that he hadn’t meant to disrespect Di Francesco, his comments broke with the usual protocol whereby Coaches don’t openly discuss another man’s job.

“I want to coach Roma too,” Costacurta, who is now a pundit and was vice-commissioner of the FIGC, said on Sky.

“Some people shouldn’t say that though. I can say it.”
