D'Ambrosio to Leris: 'It happens'

Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio replied to the apology from Sampdoria midfielder Mehdi Leris. ‘These things happen’.

The Nerazzurri defender suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament after the challenge by Leris, who sent a message to D’Ambrosio on Istagram.

“I arrived late, it was not my intention to hurt you,” he wrote. “I apologise, Danilo. I hope it’s nothing serious and that you will be back soon.”

The 32-year-old Italy international replied: “Unfortunately, these are things that happen, thanks for the message Leris.”
