Lega Serie A President Paolo Dal Pino claims the Juventus-Napoli ruling set a precedent, hinting that tomorrow's Lazio-Torino won't be played.
Torino have eight players positive for COVID and the UK variant detected during the swab tests is making things evern worse.
On Friday, Torino's home clash against Sassuolo was postponed and the Granata players are in quarantine until midnight on Tuesday. On paper, they have time to leave for Rome tomorrow.
However, the local health authority has confirmed Torino can't gather the team, but Lega Serie A has not been informed yet.
"Our orientation is always to play the games. We approved a protocol together with the government to give continuity to the season," Paolo Dal Pino told GR Parlamento.
"We've always collaborated with Local Health Authorities, but if there are restrictions, we must take into account what the Collegio di Garanzia decided after Juventus-Napoli. That ruling set a precedent."
Napoli didn't travel to Turin on October 4 and were initially given a 3-0 defeat by default and docked one point.
In December, the CONI Collegio di Garanzia overturned the decision with the game that will be replayed on March 17.
