Gianluigi Donnarumma insists the Milan squad “are all with” Coach Marco Giampaolo and that they took “a positive turn” against Torino.
“It’s a defeat that burns. It’s a dark day and I struggled to sleep last night,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Yesterday I saw the team give everything, I’m sorry for everyone, the fans included. We have to follow the Coach because we’re working well and we have great ideas on how to play. We must follow him.
“Giampaolo’s a great Coach. I’m sorry because yesterday we had a great game and we didn’t deserve to lose.
“We’re all with him. It’s normal to struggle a bit at the start with new ideas and new players, but we should continue to follow him. We’re all with him.
“After the first goal, we fell apart. We need to improve on this. If we’d remained compact, we would’ve been able to take the win home.
“However, we took a positive turn yesterday. We kept the ball throughout, so it burns to lose a game like that.
“There will be a game that marks a turning point and changes our season.”
“It’s only right that they expect so much from me, so it’s just as right that there’s criticism about me.
“I have broad shoulders that let me keep working like I always have done. It’s not a game that changes my season.
“I believe in the Champions League and we must do everything to get there. Milan deserve to be there.
“We’re a great group, a young team with a lot of hunger to get into the Champions League. We must all believe together.”

There's nothing ambitious about the way Milan are going about their business

Giampaolo was appointed because he's a attack minded coach so far we had 9shots on target a bit early to judge but I honestly hope he learns from his mistakes

Giampaolo has been the total opposite of what I expected from an attack minded coach.

If you look at the way we are playing definetely not. But if you look in terms of general operations of the club we are finally on the right path.

Giampaolo can turn games on his own but also has those games where he makes terrible decisions and attacks

I think Giampaolo's good, but his decision making is extremely questionable

I only watched the Milan derby so I wouldn't be in a good position to rate Milan atm

So Giampaolo was a top 3 performer for a.c. Milan last season but they didn't even try to keep him permanently? Weird decision there by Milan

Giampaolo was great though, basically carried the team in the middle third of the season.

Different coach, different needs. Needed a regista, and the 35 million was still a bit high to keep Giampaolo

I am always one for giving a coach time (for example I find criticism of Sarri ridiculous at this early stage) but Gianpaolo seems to be totally out of his depth, in a complete state of confusion, he's as bad as De Boer was for Inter. At this point, better to get Gattuso back as a caretaker and try another one for next season. Maybe go for Gasperini, even if he's not the nicest of people, or Spalletti, not the best but he'd be an improvement on any of Milan's coaches since Allegri - Inzaghi, Gattuso, Gianpaolo, ...

Giampaolo would secure the CL at least.

I’ll tell you Giampaolo generally goes through a stretch of 3-4 maybe 5 games where he is a game changer and then he disappears for 2 months. It’s ridiculous.

Plans for new stadium to increase revenue, younger squad, decrease of the debt new management inherited after Berlusconi and the Chinese, no more crazy wage contracts for old/mediocre players, sorting out the FFP mess

Donnarumma & Giampaolo u guys must stop this good speech.Football is all about result no 1 remembers how long we possessed the ball rather if we won or lost.U make us loose our bets on Milan vs Torino. How much money more must we loose till Milan rediscover it Glory Days?Management pay u to put smile on our faces & we pay to come watch u play & win not lose games...
