The TV program 'La Resistencia' on Movistar+, hosted by David Broncano, saw Wednesday night's Clasico as a perfect opportunity to have a bit of fun.
The show has seen the likes of Gerard Pique and Iago Aspas appear on it in recent months, and it is clear that Broncano and co have a clear interest in football.
There were fears prior to the match that riots could occur and that saw Broncano walk up to Jorge Ponce in one skit, which showed Ponce building a mini barricade, similar to the ones seen in the riots in Catalonia back in October.
Real Madrid came close to opening the scoring in the 18th minute but it was cleared off the line by Gerard Pique. That led to La Resistencia's Twitter account to quote Movistar's image and write, "THE STATUE".
Zinedine Zidane's side felt aggrieved after Raphael Varane was fouled twice in the box, yet neither resulted in a penalty, so La Resistencia offered a shot of what the officials may or may not have witnessed in the VAR room.
They didn't miss an opportunity to joke about Gareth Bale's disallowed goal either, opting to do so by showing Broncano doing a reverse motion.
