Sebastiano Esposito could be handed his first first team start in this weekend's match at home to SPAL in Serie A according to a report in today's print edition of Tuttosport.

The 17-year-old sensation made his fifth appearance of the season off the bench in last night's 3-1 win over Slavia Prague in the Champions League and could well be granted a first opportunity to start at first team level in Sunday afternoon's match.

Esposito could take the place of Lautaro Martinez in order to allow the on-form Argentine international some time to rest ahead of the crucial Champions League group stage finale with Barcelona in two weeks time. Alessandro Bastoni may also start in the match and he could take the place of Milan Skriniar.

The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to add that it is unlikely that Stefano Sensi will make a return to action against the Ferrara club.

Following Nicolo Barella's injury, Inter are treating him with far more caution and do not wish to unneccessarily rush him back and risk him re-injuring himself again. Inter's medical staff hope to make him available for the match against Roma.
