Everton's Kean called lazy and irritating as replaced at half-time for Juventus

Everton loanee Moise Kean has come under fire from sections of the Italian media for his display in Juventus' draw with Salernitana on Sunday night.

Kean was labelled 'the worst' for his performance and was sarcastically applauded when substituted at the start of the second half for Arkadiusz Milik.

The Old Lady fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a last-gasp 2-2 draw at the Allianz Stadium with Brazilian centre-back Bremer and Leonardo Bonucci proving decisive for Max Allegri's men.

But controversy struck deep into injury time when Kean's replacement Milik appeared to have scored a late winner and celebrated by taking off his shirt which earned him a second yellow card and subsequent dismissal.

The intervention of VAR ruled out the Polish striker's goal but his red card stood, sparking almighty on-pitch brawl with two other players red carded along with Allegri.

Whilst Kean was off the pitch and away from the controversy, the Italian media were unforgiving in their assessment of the 22-year-old who was making his first start of the season.

Kean was awarded a rating of 4.5/10 by Gazzetta dello Sport, with Corriere dello Sport giving him 4/10.

Both labelled the striker as 'the worst,' 'lazy' and 'at times irritating', in their Monday morning publications and pointed out that 'every time Allegri gives him a chance, he wastes it'.

Kean is into his third-consecutive season on loan and his second of an agreed two-year loan spell in Turin with Juventus obliged to make the deal permanent for around £24million next summer.

The Italian international joined Everton in 2019 but only spent one season at Goodison Park before a loan switch to Goodison Park.

Kean has rarely shown his true capabilities since signing for the Toffee's with his season in the French capital arguably the best of his career.
