Former Fiorentina sports chief Oreste Cinquini can see Napoli moving for coach Vincenzo Italiano
The champions need a new coach after Luciano Spalletti's announcement that he will step down at the end of the season.
Cinquini told TMW: "Italiano is very attractive to Napoli. Luis Enrique is an important coach, De Laurentis doesn't want to surround himself with people who steal his limelight, he's a president who wants to be recognized as such.
"Italiano could be the right figure: he's emerging, does not cost a lot and doesn't steal the show. Keeping a coach against his will isn't productive, the coach wouldn't give 100%.
"It's a question of ambition. He has done very well, if he were called to such an important team, he would play in the Champions League: it would fulfill a dream. In my opinion, if the call came, he would have no doubts about accepting. Luis Enrique also refused Chelsea, despite having all the necessary conditions, because he didn't like the environment and because he wanted to evaluate all the options.
"Italiano has made all the stages, from Serie C to Spezia up to Fiorentina, now he deserves a big one."
