Ex-Juventus midfielder Verza: Boniperti and Gianni Agnelli would not have allowed this

Former Juventus midfielder Vinicio Verza is unsure how the club will handle it's financial investigation.

Verza can't predict how the players will respond when Serie A resumes.

He told TMW: "It's a question mark, the corporate situation will probably also have repercussions on the pitch, we'll see what happens but in any case Juve can fight for the top positions.

"It's tough, however, to make up for that gap from Napoli. It must be said that wrong choices have been made in recent years, from the return of the coach (Max Allegri) to (Paul) Pogba who had many problems. They were hasty choices and I don't understand them.

"The old (Giampiero) Boniperti management and Gianni Agnelli would not have done all of this."

Verza added: "I expect a lot from (Fede) Chiesa, last year he finished on a crescendo but he must integrate into a team system. It must be said that Juve, however, have a staff that is not fully up to the situation and it cannot be thought that (Manuel) Locatelli will be able to resolve the problems in midfield."
