FIGC president Gabriele Gravina has scrapped the suspension for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

Gravina personally intervened after Inter's appeal against Lukaku's ban had been rejected.

Lukaku was suspended for being sent off after provoking Juventus fans under the Curva in the Coppa Italia semifinal. Lukaku was reacting to racist taunts from the Juve support.

On Saturday night, FIGC announced Gravina had personally granted an exception and scrapped the ban in a “statement against racism."

“The principle of the fight against all forms of racism is a fundamental element of the sports system," a statement from the FIGC read.

It means Lukaku will be available for the second-leg of the Coppa semifinal.
