FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Pecoraro has reportedly asked to view footage of Mario Mandzukic’s kick during Juventus’ 2-1 win against Milan on Saturday.
Mandzukic appeared to kick Alessio Romagnoli in the box, but the striker avoided a second yellow card as neither the referee Michael Fabbri nor the VAR acted.
Although referee designator Nicola Rizzoli dismissed the incident, Pecoraro deemed it ‘a severe case of violent conduct’, writes Gazzetta dello Sport.
Consequently, FIGC judge Gerardo Mastrandrea must now decide whether to invoke the old-style TV test for retrospective punishment.
The Croat risks up to a four-match ban if he is found guilty of violent conduct, although it would raise more questions about how VAR is used.

Even without him we would have destroyed Milan anyway. Even without him we will win the scudetto. It is not about refs, it’s about our winning mentality. Fino alla fine.
keep telling yourself that 🤣 your team always play with extra man in the field that why your players have it but when comes to CL you guys will always be behind us and not just us also Inter better than you and for the record i hate Inter.

Useless. Even a lifetime ban won’t change anything. Match lost, 3 points gone, destinies changed, morales damaged. It’s been always the case when Juve faced the big rivals. The Italian league will never rise back to where it was & only the federation is to blame for that. & be sure that Juve will never win the champions league even with Ronaldo & Messi. Only Italian refs can give Juve a trophy. Forza Milan 🔴⚫️

Juventus are always helped by poor refereeing in their own league but would come and pokenose about what is happening in La Liga if any decision go in favor if Barcelona, that's pure hypocrisy.

Should’ve been a red card for him (second yellow) during the match. Not a ban now that means absolutely nothing

How useless is this punishment. He should have taken a red card right after it and 2 penalties for Milan.

Mandžo is a great fighter, and as a Croatian I really love him and respect everything he has done for the NT. I don't blame him for his behaviour, he was full of adrenaline and wanted his team to win. However when the ref does not penalize kicking players on the ground, this only encourages this type of unsportly behaviour.
This is not UFC brOii.. Can't love this dirty fighter 😛

Best part is that's literally a penalty also, and potentially our 3RD one of the game. Obviously none of them were given.

I was joking with mates that Mandzukic looks like he gets paid 2k a month to play and struggles with basic fundamentals like hydration and stretching due to economic hardships of trying to live up to the lifestyle of professional football on avg Italian wages.
