It's funny how all of Messi fans say Ronaldo isn't in the GOAT debate, yet his name is always mentioned. In that Capello interview, Ronaldo's name came up before even he mentioned Pele and Maradona. So, yes, you can consider Messi your GOAT but you will never convince millions that Ronaldo isn't.
You obviously skipped the beginning of the interview to read where Ronaldo was mentioned. I'd first remind you that Capello was one of the successful coaches Madrid has had so he should be naturally biased towards Madrid, yet he never mentioned Ronaldo until the reporter specifically asked about him... this gives you the reason why Ronaldo is always mentioned, though he's not up to it. To make it clearer to you, Ronaldo has a huge fanbase, most of which claim he is the goat. Therefore reporters will always want to put him in the frame because they are not just there to make news but to sell and make money as well.
