Milan are once again being linked with a bid for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas amid an injury crisis.
The 31-year-old Spain international has repeatedly been on the Rossoneri radar in recent years and his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
A renewal seems improbable, so Calciomercato.com suggest Milan director Leonardo is holding meetings with intermediaries to discuss the situation.
Fabregas is frustrated with the lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge, so could agree to spreading his Chelsea salary over several years to help the move go through.
Milan are in dire need of reinforcements, as Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura are both out of action for at least a couple of months, if not more.

He's a good option for Milan, definitely provides creativity for the players up front like Suso and the Italian league tempo is a lot slower giving him time on the ball. He would be one of the best transfers in Serie A. However if we do sell Cesc then we need a new back up for Jorginho in the Regista role since the only 4 players with good passing in our side is Cesc, Jorginho, Luiz and Rudiger.... and really only Cesc can play the Jorginho role with Luiz in defence with Rudiger. So unless we can replace Cesc we shouldn't let him go even if he is on his last legs he's still likely our best passer....
