The father of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic has explained his side of the collapse of his son's move to Inter Milan.

Samardzic passed his medical at Inter, but the deal fell through due to confusion over who was in charge of negotiations.

Mladen Samardzic told Sportitalia: "Inter made a mistake: they did all the negotiation and closed the deal with a person (Rafaela Pimenta) who did not have permission to do so.

"I've only seen her once in my life. I don't know how she managed to get into this thing, because the negotiation was between Udinese and Inter: then we found her in the middle, who wanted to close the deal without the our permission.

"So when I received the draft contract from Inter and we saw that she were there as intermediary and representative of Lazar, we asked that this be changed. We asked to speak directly with Inter, to have a meeting with them and to change this aspect: but they obviously didn't want to do the operation anymore so, without her, they claimed that Lazar's agent was her,

"We never talked about money with Inter. We never negotiated anything, we didn't have the opportunity because when I explained that Pimenta wasn't the agent, automatically everything was already closed for Inter and they weren't interested anymore, because, no one knows why, they thought Rafaela Pimenta was the agent.

"I said 'sorry I'm sorry but it's a mistake, if you have proof of this thing ok, but since you don't have it it's not our fault'.

"I'm sorry, but we showed that we wanted to go to Inter and that we never talked about money."
