Foot Mercato are reporting that Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat (26) is uninterested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain as he is set on moving to La Liga.
Amrabat, alongside Azzedine Ounahi, was one of the revelations of the Qatar World Cup with Morocco. However, unlike his compatriot, who made the switch from SCO Angers to Olympique de Marseille in the January transfer window, Amrabat stayed put. He remained at the Serie A club despite interest from Barcelona. However, the Catalan club couldn’t interest a buy option into their loan proposal for Amrabat, meaning that the deal became unstuck.
However, Amrabat, who has dreamt about playing for Barcelona since he was a child, is still keen to realise his dream. More broadly, Amrabat sees his future in La Liga, with the player expressing an admiration for Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone. The capital club would be interested in making a summer move for the Moroccan international, according to Foot Mercato.
The French publication adds that PSG have enquired about signing Amrabat, but the player is uninterested in making a move to Ligue 1. PSG, as well as English clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, who have expressed an interest, have the financial means to buy Amrabat, but the player’s preference is for a move to Spain.
