Arsenal transfer news as Folarin Balogun answers questions on his future at the Emirates Stadium amid speculation linking him with a summer move away
Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has insisted the decision over his future is out of his hands amid speculation linking him with a move to Inter Milan.
Unfortunately for him, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are ahead of him in Mikel Arteta's pecking order, leaving his long-term future in north London in limbo. "What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again," he said in June.
"I’m not sure (about) the discussions that are going to take place, I’m not sure what’s going to happen. But I’m just committed to now, I try to stay present. I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family."
No official offer has been made yet, but it's understood that the Italian side are lining-up a bid in the region of £34.3million ($44.9million). Arsenal, though, are demanding £50million ($65million), football.london.
Balogun is currently away with the Arsenal squad in the United States ahead of their pre-season triple-header against MLS All-Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona. The Hale Ender was quizzed on his future on the back of the growing speculation.
"I obviously went away and the point was to prove I could play first team football," he told reporters in the US. "I feel I was able to do that and show people I can play at that level.
"I think with me coming back it's not really much of a situation where I think I can need to try extra hard to prove something, I think it's a decision that's not really with me. Whatever happens I'm cool with it."

u can’t judge a player off a league without giving him a chance it’s that simple the kid got potential so he deserves a chance ffs
yeah.. i just say the difference in the league is a big point there as it has been proven before. besides, arteta is evaluating and assessing his development during this pre-season. well.. i think Arteta knows better.

look at Pepe and Lacazette.. they tear up that Ligue 1 like nobody's business but then how did they do at EPL? . old Laca went back to Ligue 1 and become one of the top scorers again last season. the quality of the league SHOULD be considered and compared.

I seriously think that Balogun has far more potential for Arsenal. All through the academy he broke the goal scoring records. He can also play from the flanks. To me he can become a great striker. He will give more coming off the bench, Eddie tends to give very little. Basically he is the superior player.!!!

I think that's an ok move now that Inter sold Lukaku and Dzeko, might sell others. Less competition as well considering Inter play with two strikers.

Balogun scored 22 goals last season while Nketiah scored just 9 but he’s ahead lmao this don’t make no sense at least give the lad a chance to prove himself in the EPL
