Former Lyon player revealed he stole Benzema's boots, used them & put them back

Tino Costa used to take advantage of sharing a room with Karim Benzema back in their days at Lyon.

The pair coincided in France and Costa, who went on trial at several clubs in France as a 15-year-old but wasn't eventually signed by Lyon, used the striker's boots without him knowing.

"I had trials at different clubs, and I shared a room with Benzema at Lyon," he told Radio Miter.

"One day I opened his closet, which was full of football boots.

"I took them, used them, washed them and put them back."

During a game between Valencia and Real Madrid, when the two played against one another, Costa admitted what he had done.

"Son of a b****," Benzema said in response to being told.

"I never realised."
