'He is not the only one' - Koke thinks Juventus are more than just Ronaldo

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke admitted to having bad memories from Turin and added that Juventus are more than just Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last season a 2-0 win against Juventus at home was not enough to get Atleti past the last 16, as they were sent out of the Champions League by a Ronaldo hat-trick at the Allianz Stadium.

“Our last memories from Turin are not positive,” he told the reporters. “Tomorrow we will do everything we can to win.”

Atletico Madrid need a win to secure their spot in the knockout stages, whilst Juventus are already through to the next phase.

“We know we are playing one of the best and we will do what we can to get there. Every game is different, you need to step on the pitch with a desire to win. We need to be more determined than we were last time we came here,” Koke added. “Our advantage is that we have trained a lot and very well, we will do everything we can to win.”

Even though Ronaldo proved decisive last time out, the Spanish midfielder added that they must not forget about the other potential threats from Juventus.

“Vi look at all of Juventus, who are of a high level,” he said. “Cristiano Ronaldo is not the only one, but he has scored so many goals. We will see if we can have a game like him.”

The first match between the sides in Group D ended in a 2-2 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
