Spezia ran riot at the Stadio Vigorito with Tommaso Pobega and the first two career Serie A goals for M’Bala Nzola to stun Benevento.
These sides were both promoted from Serie B last season, making this a relegation six-pointer just seven rounds into the campaign.
Top flight debutants Spezia dominated the match and came away with a comfortable 3-0 victory, as Pobega got his second goal of the season with a cushioned volley.
Nzola had never scored in Serie A before, yet found the net twice in five minutes to finish the rout.
