Manchester United have issued an update on the health of Victor Lindelof after he was forced off with breathing problems at the weekend.
Lindelof went down clutching his chest and was struggling to breathe during Man Utd’s 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.
The Sweden centre back was forced off the pitch on 74 minutes at Carrow Road and replaced by Eric Bailly.
What did Man Utd say about Lindelof?
Manchester United, whose Premier League game with Brentford on Tuesday has been postponed due to a mini-COVID outbreak at Carrington, have now issued a statement on Lindelof’s health.
"Victor is currently undergoing a series of precautionary investigations," read the statement.
"However, he has recovered well from the episode he experienced in the match against Norwich.
"All indications are that this is not linked to any COVID outbreak within the club."
What did Lindelof's wife say?
Lindelof’s wife Maja also issued her own update on her husband’s health, revealing that he will be wearing a heart monitor while tests are carried out.
"It was a scary match to watch and Victor was very concerned afterwards," she wrote on her blog.
"Yesterday he did a lot of tests and has a heart monitor on for two days to make sure everything is OK."
"Everything seems to be okay as luck would have it and we are waiting for answers to the last tests that will end tomorrow."
What did Rangnick say about Lindelof?
Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick commented after the game against Norwich that Lindelof had struggled to breathe for over 10 minutes and that his heart rate had increased.
“He can't even remember himself how it happened,” Rangnick said.
“I think he had a collision with another player and he had problems to breathe for more than 10 minutes. His heart rate was higher than normal and he was a little bit shocked, he didn't know how to deal with it. We had to replace him.
"After the game, we did some check-ups and some examinations by the doctor, it seems everything is okay. We still have to see how he is doing tomorrow. Hopefully, he will be fit for the game against Brentford."
Lindelof joined Man Utd from Benfica in 2017 and has made 179 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.

I agree with you. My son’s heart beats much faster than before after the first jab. It will reach 120 just standing. It’s already 2 month. getting better but still fast. I search online lots of people have the same. I also noticed seems more heart problem incidents In football recently. I think they could be connected.
